CPTED principles and strategies are often used collaboratively by many professionals including but not limited to:
- police services,
- municipalities,
- government agencies,
- politicians,
- architects,
- landscape architects,
- planners,
- engineers,
- developers,
- the security industry,
- property managers,
- social agencies and educators.
These strategies are usually more effective when they are utilized as a multi-disciplinary approach with the involvement of local community members, to build a sense of belonging among inhabitants and support the creation of environments that are welcoming and safe for all.
